Wine Appreciation

During Mike's 4-hour presentation entitled 'Introduction to the world of wine' you will learn

• How wine is made
• Where it is made and the factors that affect style and taste
• Introduce you to the main styles of wine
• A basic knowledge of the main white and black (red) grape varieties
• A basic knowledge of the main wine producing countries
• The European quality levels
• How to read the label on a wine bottle
• How to taste wine and to assess its key features and identify the main faults
• A basic understanding of the key elements of matching food and wine using real examples

Then comes the fun part - a tasting of 6 wines from around the world, and then taste them again, with a selection of foods, enabling you to see which ones complement which foods, enabling you to choose the perfect wines for your guests every time.
